Missing soldier's wife faces deportation

Specialist Alex Jimenez, along with two other soldiers, was kidnapped by al-Qaeda in May. One of his fellow soldiers was later found dead, the other is still missing. In a video posted on the internet, AQ claims all three soldiers are dead. Here's the kicker: Jimenez's wife, Yaderlin, is facing deportation from the United States.

Not too long ago, I was chatting with a neighbor and the subject of illegal immigration came up. He went into a bit of a rant, as many Americans do, about "illegals" coming into the United States, taking jobs, costing social services and worse. It's a familiar refrain, and many of the issues are very real. Not to mention the fact that so many of those immigrants end up exploited in the worst possible ways, with some trapped in sex-slavery rings and other things best left in the nineteenth century.
